Introduction

Applying for a driving license online in India has become very simple. With just a few steps on the official Parivahan portal, you can submit your application without visiting multiple offices.

Step 1: Visit the Parivahan Sewa Website

Go to the official portal: https://parivahan.gov.in

Step 2: Select Your State

Click on “Driving License Related Services” and choose your state from the list.

Step 3: Fill the Online Application Form

• Select New Driving License

• Enter your personal details (Name, DOB, Address, Aadhaar, etc.)

• Choose the type of license (Motorcycle, LMV, etc.)

Step 4: Upload Documents

Upload scanned copies of:

• Identity proof

• Address proof

• Age proof

• Passport size photograph

Step 5: Pay the Fees

Make the required payment online using debit/credit card, UPI, or net banking.

Step 6: Book Your Slot for Test

• Select the nearest RTO office.

• Choose date and time for your learner’s license or driving test.

Step 7: Attend the Test

• First, clear the Learner’s License Test (online/offline).

• After a few weeks, appear for the Driving Test at the RTO.

Final Note

Once you pass the driving test, your Driving License will be approved and sent to your registered address by post. You can also check status online on the Parivahan portal.
